Volunteers on this trip will head to the Orosi Valley, near the Carara Biological Reserve. The reserve is one of Costa Rica’s most biologically-diverse parks, home to a large variety of wildlife and rare animals. Volunteers on this trip will focus on helping the local, small communities, improve their well being and create a sustainable future in these important ecological areas. Projects for this trip include building waste and recycling stations, repairing pedestrian bridges or other small repairs, and helping the general upkeep and maintenance of the area. During free time, explore the area on a nature hike, bathe in one of the many nearby hotsprings, learn the art of cheese making, or simply relax in a hammock.
