CAMBODIA: Empower Street Kids Through Skateboarding

This program was launched in Sept. 2012 by Skateistan, the world’s first coed skating school in Afghanistan. Currently, the Phnom Penh program reaches more than 200 kids daily, half of which are girls, and most of which are street kids or otherwise disadvantaged. Classes teach studying and skating, as well as DJ, breakdancing and martial arts. Volunteers must make six-month commitment, and must cover travel and lodging expenses.
