Learning Service in Cambodia

This trip allows you to experience a month-long gap trip in the beautiful country of Cambodia. One prominent activity includes spending a day in the life of a mahout, an ethical elephant conservation project to gain insight in the importance of responsible elephant tourism. Another highlight includes exploring iconic Angkor temples to learn about Cambodia’s spiritual journey. Additionally, you will live on a rural island on the Mekong River with a host family which allows you to connect with local people and gain an understanding of both the beauties of the landscape and the reality of life there. A leader will facilitate you with this journey to ensure you get the most out of every activity and interaction.  One of the themes is learning service as most of their trips are “alternatives to voluntourism.”
