This trip gives you the opportunity to travel to Antigua, Guatemala to volunteer at an alternative agriculture program. Eco-agriculture and responsible farming relies on more hands-in-the-field than modern industrial farming, and your help could be a critical part in achieving sustainability in South America. As an international volunteer, you woul work with local famers just outside Antigua where you can learn about sustainable coffee and macademia nut farming. Volunteers participate in every step of the production process including picking, weeding, planting, processing, and packaging. You must be at leat 18 years old to participate and Spanish language skills and helpful but not required.
