This trip and project works to place gibbons that have been victims of abuse, have been in contact with humans, or been injured in a caring sanctuary. Gibbons are a small type of ape that live in Southeast Asian tropical forests. Their habitats are disappearing due to deforestation and they live in fear of being captured by humans. Therefore, the Gibbons are one of the most threatened primates. As a volunteer, you will be working at a local sanctuary involved in rescuing the Gibbons and providing them with a safe and comfortable environment as they cannot be returned to nature. The age requirement for this trip is 18 years old and it costs $1414 per week.
